Course Overview

This intensive one-day course is designed to empower participants with a comprehensive understanding of the foundational principles and practices of nonprofit governance. It equips nonprofit board directors with the knowledge, skills, and understanding required to fulfill their roles effectively. Participants will learn how good governance is directly to the advancement and achievement of their organization’s mission in the face of challenging environments.

This course also presents an opportunity for nonprofit leaders in Southern Ontario to connect, network, and become part of a community of practice focused on strengthening the sector through ongoing education. The interactive format of the course includes breakout activities, group discussions, and building on preparatory materials that are shared with participants in advance.
