Payment Policy

If you require a formal invoice for payment, or would like to pay by cheque, please contact execed@mcmaster.ca.

Payments must be received in full two weeks prior to the program date.

Cancellation Policy effective February 2025

Program registrants must provide notice of cancellation in writing.  Due to pre-program preparations and the likelihood that program seats can be re-sold, refund eligibility is based on when a cancellation is received and will be granted as follows:

100% of the paid program fee

59 to 30 business days’ notice before the program start date

50% program fee

Less than 29 business days’ notice before the program start date and / or no notification

0%

*Refund amounts apply to third-party payments for course fees paid in full.  Refund amounts apply to deposits for pending third-party payments.

 

Transfers

Request for transfers must be made in writing. Transfer requests are accepted for registrations paid in full (100%) only.  Transfer requests must be emailed to execed@mcmaster.ca.

Time Transfer Fee
30 (or more) business days’ notice before the program start date An administration fee of $150 will be charged for approved transfers. The transfer is not finalized until the administrative fee is paid in full.
Less than 29 business days’ notice before the program start date and/or no notification No transfers are permitted.

NOTE:  Program registrations may be transferred to another individual without incurring penalty fees given enough notice has been provided.  Depending on the program, assessment costs may still be incurred by the new registrant.  Please contact DeGroote Executive Education at execed@mcmaster.ca for more information and to discuss this option.

DeGroote Executive Education reserves the right to cancel or change dates of any program due to insufficient enrolment or other causes.  In the unlikely event that DeGroote Executive Education cancels a program, participants will be offered a seat in a future session of the same program or in another program.  If no suitable session is available, participants will receive a full refund of program fees paid.

Program participants are responsible for their individual travel arrangements and associated costs incurred even if a program is cancelled by DeGroote Executive Education.

 

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, Executive Education follows the guidelines set out in our Inclement Weather Policy and Procedures. Participants will be notified via email by program staff of any program cancellations. Executive Education is not responsible for any travel or incidental costs incurred by the participant.
