Police Services Leadership Program
Ontario Police Services are experiencing change within their workforce like never before, making leadership and change management skills more important than ever. Police Services across Ontario, in collaboration with the DeGroote School of Business, Executive Education department, have developed a training program to equip Senior Police Leaders with the skills they need to manage and lead their teams and make a positive impact in their communities.
Developed by leading industry and faculty experts, the intensive and interactive Police Services Leadership Program focuses on specific topics related to project and/or change management.
Who Should Take the Program?
Senior Police Leaders and Civilian Managers responsible for coordinating, facilitating, or leading projects and programs will benefit from the Police Services Leadership Program. Course content is tailored specifically for career development. There are no prerequisites, and no application is required to enroll in this program.
The Police Leadership Program consists of five full learning days:
- Module 1: Change Leadership
- Module 2: Project Management
- Module 3: Governance and Police Boards
- Module 4: Strategic Thinking
- Module 5: Difficult Conversations
Upon completion of the five-module program, attendees will receive a Certificate in Police Leadership from McMaster University and the DeGroote School of Business.
Courses can be customized to meet your organization’s specific needs and can be delivered from anywhere in Ontario.
