David Blenkhorn

David Blenkhorn is Professor of Marketing in the School of Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario, where he teaches Competitive Intelligence, Marketing Strategy, and Business-to-Business Marketing.  He has also taught for the University of Toronto, Western University, York University, McMaster University, the University of California at Berkeley (U.S.), the Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration (Finland), and Nova University (Portugal), among others.  He holds an undergraduate degree in Commerce from Mount Allison University, an MBA from McMaster University, a Ph.D. in Business from The University of Bradford ,UK, and is a professional accountant, holding the Certified Management Accountant  (CMA) designation.

He has previously held positions in both industry and government and is a consultant to industry, government and other organizations.  His clients have included BP Petroleum (U.S.), Cathay Pacific Airways (Hong Kong), Hong Kong Telecom, The Government of Hong Kong,  Magenta Global (Singapore), IBC Shanghai (China), Innodecision (China), PMMS (U.K.), Rockwell Automation, Canadian General Electric, DuPont Canada, Resolute Forest Products(Abitibi-Bowater), Bell Canada, Cominco, Sanofi Pasteur Limited (Connaught Laboratories), The Government of Ontario (Canada), and Shoppers Drug Mart, among others.

He is editor of three books (with C. Fleisher): (1) Competitive Intelligence and Global Business, (2) Controversies in Competitive Intelligence: The Enduring Issues, (3) Managing Frontiers in Competitive Intelligence, and author (with M. Leenders) of Reverse Marketing: the New Buyer-Supplier Relationship. He has many journal article publications on competitive intelligence, business relationship management, business-to-business marketing, teaching global business, and organizational effectiveness.

An educator with a global perspective, his consulting, courses, and seminars have taken him throughout North and South America, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Australia.
