Day 1: Tuesday, November 7, 2017
Day 2: Tuesday November 15, 2017
This two-day program will provide participants with a broad overview of information systems and how they support management and operations in the modern business environment.
The approach is more strategic than technical. The fundamental question is: What role do information systems play in creating and sustaining a competitive advantage in today’s complex business environment?
The objective of the program is to ensure managers are equipped to make informed decisions about information systems and “Big Data.” The program will outline the critical role information systems plays in achieving integration within organizations, as well as integrating an organization with its partners and customers.
Participants will gain hands-on experience with key information technologies that support effective managerial decision-making. We’ll use case studies and examples to demonstrate various opportunities and challenges involved in managing with information systems in different industries and contexts.
“Leveraging Information Systems for Strategic Success provides a high level overview of what strategic leaders should think about and what they face in the growing world of big data. If your organization is thinking about how to use the mass amount of data they collect, and/or changing or innovating their big data systems, this course is for you. It helps us as leaders to think steps ahead to ensure we are finding solutions at the forefront for implementation to be successful – and what can go wrong if we fail or don’t do the research and proper planning upfront. Dr. Hassanein is a passionate professor and uses an interesting mix of classic lecture and creative fun to create a stimulating executive learning environment”.
